Justin grew up on a small horse farm in Virginia. He received a BFA in painting at Virginia Commonwealth University and an MFA in painting from the New York Academy of Art.

Subsequently Justin studied painting and drawing at the Tbilisi Academy of Fine Arts in the Republic of Georgia while on a Fulbright Grant.

After returning from abroad Justin worked as a studio assistant for artist Jeff Koons before going back to school to study computer animation. He recently graduated with an MFA in computer art from The School of Visual Arts, and is pursuing a career in the animation industry.
